Jane Jessen began her career at Apple Computer in 1993, fully absorbing all the creative energy that Apple and it’s employees had to offer, before moving on to other high-tech companies like Great Plains Software and Intuit. Jane worked in a variety of graphic design and marketing communication roles throughout her high-tech career, designing catalogs, brochures, direct mail programs and websites. She founded Spin Graphic Design in 2003, and her favorite part of owning her own business (besides the freedom!) is that she gets to work with such a wide variety of clients and businesses. From small wineries needing a cool label for their new wine, to business consultants who are marketing themselves to large corporations, the variety of projects and marketing needs keep things fun and interesting.
The name “Spin”, by the way, came about from a good friend and Apple colleague, because at the time Jane was doing a lot of biking and it just seemed to fit. And let’s face it, marketing is all about putting a “spin” on things to help people see businesses in a certain positive light. It stuck.
